Many grandparents live hundreds of miles apart from their
grandchildren, creating an ongoing challenge for them to build a strong relationship.
It's common for grandparents to feel their grandchildren are “growing up too fast”. They wish their respective lives could be less complicated, so they’d have more time to share various activities with their school-aged grandchild.
Even if they live nearby, children today are often booked solid with school, sports events, hobbies, and their friends, leaving little time for extended family members.
Most grandparents see what’s special about their grandchildren, and they encourage their grandchildren to develop their gifts. Some grandparents help fund extracurricular activities or special education programs for their grandchildren. At the very least, grandparents enjoy bragging about their grandchildren’s accomplishment!
The Write with a Young Author Challenge is the BEST solution to help satisfy grandparent’s desire to bond with their grandchildren.
It's an online course to guide a grandparent and grandchild through the process of planning an original writing project together.
In three well-organized modules, you'll learn how to co-author a writing project with your grandchild. At the end of the course, you two will:

Co-create your plan for the writing project of your choice.

The Write with a Young Author Challenge offers you an opportunity to change your grandchild’s life (and yours, too) for the better.
You don’t have to be a “professional writer” to grab this challenge and run with it. No one is going to rate your work. It becomes a labor of love between you and your grandchild.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to your creativity. You two might decide to write a family history, a cookbook, or a book of poems together. It’s your choice.

P.S. As a bonus for completing the course and earning 100 points, as described in the course activities, you'll receive a free copy of The Jungle of Truth, the adventure book written by the course creator, Marge Brown, and her 12-year-old grandson, Seamus Tracy.
There are three modules in this course:
Module 1 - Project Inspiration - You'll invite your young co-author to join you, you two will decide what sort of writing project you will create together, and then you'll agree on when you want to complete your project.
Module 2 - Project Process - You and your co-author will design a project framework that will work the best for you two as you co-create.
Module 3 - Project Plan - You and your young co-author will complete a detailed writing project plan to ensure that you'll meet your goals.
Everything you need is online.
You can work at your own pace.
There are downloadable Activity Guides to support you in each Module.

Your Instructor
Marge is a professional freelance writer, author, business and life coach, and digital publisher and marketer. Her career has spanned teaching English in person and globally online, writing for large corporations and small consulting clients, coaching private clients, authoring personal development books, and more recently authoring her first piece of fiction, The Jungle of Truth, with her grandson, Seamus Tracy. Currently, she is writing a book on best business practices for freelance writers.
Marge is married to Bruce Brown, a technical journalist. She attained the highest leadership rank of Samurai in the Klemmer & Associates Leadership Training. She was one of the first graduates of Coach University when the coaching profession emerged in the 1990's.
Marge and Bruce have three adult children and five grandchildren. Their growing number of extended family members live hundreds of miles apart from each other in California, Connecticut, Kentucky, and North Carolina. They visit each other as much as possible, vacation together, and video chat in between trips.
